What is Covid-19?

Covid-19 an infectious disease which affects the respiratory system and is caused by the most recently discovered coronavirus. In March 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared Covid-19 a global pandemic.

For Property Owners
& Managers

Cleaning removes dirt and impurities, including germs, from surfaces. Cleaning alone will not kill germs, but it will reduce the number of germs on surfaces. Disinfecting kills germs on surfaces.

Bleach or chlorine may be used at a recommended concentration. Alcohol at 70-90% can also be used for surface disinfection.

Provide training or detailed instructions to your service providers on the proper use of cleaning and disinfecting chemicals.

Identify the high touch areas at your properties and schedule ample time for these areas to be cleaned and disinfected. These areas may include: door and window handles, kitchen and food preparation areas, counter tops, light switches, bathroom surfaces, toilets and taps and keypads.

Use Checklist to provide detailed property instructions and visual checklists to your service providers. Your service providers may also submit comments and/or images to confirm that the tasks were done as described and that the proper cleaning agents and disinfectants were used.

For Service Paroviders

Wash your hands regularly with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.

Avoid combining chemicals. Wash hands after coming in contact with disinfectants.

Wear appropriate PPE and dispose of them correctly. This should include: rubber gloves, waterproof aprons and closed shoes but may also include eye protection and medical masks.

Open windows and use fans to ventilate while using chemicals.

Let your client know that if you’re not feeling well and that you would not be able to complete a job.

Use Checklist to review property instructions and visual checklists from your clients. Provide feedback to your Client in the form of comments, images or incident reports, as necessary.
